100K Project

The 100K Project is the quilt project where we track the road from 51,000 to 100K subscribers on YouTube.

We will track every 10 new subs with a pixel, ending up with 4900 pixels by the time we reach 100K. This makes a perfect 70 x 70 pixel quilt.

YouTube Subscriber Update

For every 10 new subscribers on YouTube, I’ll add one square to the quilt. Working in nine patches this means, 1 nine patch for even 90 new subscribers.

Let’s track some numbers: the date, current # of subs and # of nine patches to add.

30 Sept ’25: 51,145 (1 nine patch)
30 Sept ’26: 52,270 (13 nine patches)

How it’s calculated

Wondering how I know how many pixels to add? Here are the calculations :)

total # nine patches  = (current # subs − 51,000) ÷ 10 ÷ 9

# nine patches to add = total # nine patches − # nine patches already sewn
