Last week I got to write not one, but two blog posts for the WeAllSew blog! So exciting. The first one is an introduction. A blog post about me, about Sugaridoo, about what I do. So if you’re new here, make sure to check it out!
This introduction blog post contains the first quilt I quilted on the Bernina Q24 and the Qmatic system.
Q24 + Qmatic
The Qmatic is the computerized system on the Bernina longarm. I’m over the moon excited about getting to work with it. I can now make a digital drawing of anything I’d like to get quilted, and the Qmatic will quilt it for me.
In the blog post you’ll find a tip on my favourite foot so far, for quilting with the Qmatic.
Rudolph quilt pattern
Being able to play with designs for the longarm opens up a whole new world for me!
The first design I created is Rudolph. Based on the Sugaridoo Advent Calendar project from last year.
How cool to see an illustration come to life on fabric like this. I’m sure that many more Sugaridoo quilting patterns will follow.
On the WeAllSew blog you can read all about this project. And I’m also sharing the file of the Rudolph pattern on the blog. So you can use it yourself, or send it to your longarmer to quilt it on your next Christmas project!
