After the Easter Mystery QAL this year, I knew we needed a round two. I’m so happy to announce: the Spring Mystery QAL 2027!

From the start of spring, March 21, we will work on a fun project together for four weeks. We will be making a new, cute and happy Sugaridoo Foundation Paper Piecing design.

In short: What is the Spring Mystery QAL?

The kit includes 10 surprise packages filled with fabrics, pattern pieces and a few extra gifts. Think of it as a mini Advent Calendar, but this time for spring.

Every few days you open one of your packages and discover the next part of the project. In the online community you will find the video instructions to make our project together.

What’s inside the kit?

• 10 numbered gifts to open, starting March 21
• All the materials: fabric, pattern, thread, backing, binding and a few little extra gifts
• Printed and digital pattern: you’ll find the printed Foundation Paper Piecing pattern in your gifts, and the digital version in the online community
• Video instructions for every step of sewing and quilting
• Access to the online community, where you can ask me questions and share your progress

The only thing you need to add is a small piece of batting (about 22 x 22 inch). I left it out to keep the shipping costs down.

What are we making?

It will be a mystery what we’re making. However, I can already tell you that it will be a sweet and cheerful little springtime scene. The finished project measures about 20 x 20 inch. You can make it as a mini quilt, or turn it into a pillow or wall hanging.

We will use Foundation Paper Piecing as our main technique. You don’t need to be an expert, I’ll guide you through every step!

Online Community

As part of the Spring QAL you will get access to the online community. A place where you can watch the videos, ask questions, share your progress and download the patterns.

At your own pace

Even though the project is scheduled over four weeks, you can complete it at your own pace. If you’re falling behind, no need to rush, just pick up the project when you are ready for it!

Optional

I will quilt the project with the Petunia Ruler. If you’re up for that, you can add the ruler to your kit as an option when you order.

The Spring QAL kit ships worldwide. The kits will be shipped at the beginning of 2027.
